"was a Royalist, and was concerned in a composition for his estate 25 December 1649:"

"The Committee were 15 Dec. 1649 informed that he owed £1500 ... and that Drury's lease of Docking parsonage was mortgaged ... his goods were seized 15 Nov. 1644 ... Drury being sequestered, the Committee appointed Henry Norton to see the corn thrashed out for the benefit of the State whereupon Drury broke open the barn doors on 1 April 1647 and caused the corn to be carried away value £40 ... and meeting Norton in the field ... armed with guns and swords took away four of the State horses ... and struck and much abused Norton. This was when the Scots came to England under command of the Duke of Hamilton ... Request on Drury's behalf for discharge on the Act of Pardon 1 June 1652, granted if he were not sequestered 1 December 1651."

"He died before 15 April 1658, at which date Administration of his estate was granted to his brother Robert Drury."
