"On the south side of the chancel beneath the last arch towards the east is a large altar monument covering the remains of Sir Robert Drury who was privy councillor to Henrys Seventh and Eighth and is supposed to have died about the year 1533 Opposite to this monument is that of Sir William Carew who died in 1501 and his wife of the Drury family who died in 1525 .. "
