Her father is shown as Daniel James, a gentleman.
Charles' residence is 'Harrow Road, Paddington'.

In the birth certificate of their child:

Margaretta 's maiden name is given as 'Jacobs'.

Margaretta's parents are:
Catharine S Vizer (a widow in the 1871 census, above, born 1826) and
Daniel James (in her and Charles' marriage certificate) or Daniel Jacobs (in her son's birth certificate).

The marriage records at St George Hanover Square, show that a Catherine Sophia Greaves married William Vizer in 1830. Presumably this Catherine Sophia is the mother of Catherine S - born 3 or 4 years before the marriage to William Vizer.
One of the witnesses to the marriage is George Gregory Greaves.

In 1845, Catherine Sophia Vizer married Daniel Jacobs. (Their marriage records appear on the same page: Jul-Aug-Sep 1845, St James Westminster, vol. 1, p. 128.)
Why does Catherine Sophia keep the name Vizer in the 1871 census?
