Notes
- Marriage certificate: 15th May 1880, All Souls Church, Parish of St. Mary-Le-Bone, County of Middlesex
Harry, bachelor, Commercial Clerk; Elizabeth, widow. Her father's name appears to be John Crosby (dec.) a Commercial Traveller.
The marriage of Harry and Elizabeth is witnessed by 'Jas. Samuel Roberts' and 'Ada Anniss' who also got married that day, witnessed by Harry Anniss and Elizabeth Hannah Terry! It seems reasonable to assume that this was a brother and sister sharing a wedding day.
The marriage certificate of Harry and Elizabeth has them both 'of full age'. He is a 'bachelor' and a 'Commercial clerk'. She is a widow. They already appear to have the same address (2, Charles Street, Marylebone) and rumour has it that she had been his landlady. Harry's father is shown as Silas R. Anniss, profession: 'Inspector of Police'.
